It has been my experience that dad's are becoming much more active in the day-to-day parenting role.  Dad's of this generation in general are taking on more of the parenting responsibility.  This is true for both married and separated parents.  Since most parenting advice seems to be directed at either parents in general, or specifically for moms, I wanted to share my experience and advice that I've learned over the years in helping fathers in their ever-expanding role in the lives of their children.
